In my mind it’s the other way around.

There’s nothing easy about an RX- 7.

Not sure there’s much easy about a dorito motor.

I have no idea what you’re talking about.

Might be true but we all know they are both better with implants

I’d revise that.
You want to impress RX-7 because he/she is passionate and fun. Miata is fun too, but more reliable and reasonable.
RX-7 gets emotional easily, but you try to keep this whirlwind romance going.
Eventually, the apex seals of this spinning love triangle blow, and you end up dating Miata in the long run.

I thought y ou owned an RX8 didn’t you?

And as in the analogy, been there, done that, didn’t live up to the hype.

“bolt ons"

This analogy works when you consider their men are always broke and disappointing .

That awkward moment when your miata with LS1 is faster than the C4 corvette it’s sitting next to

Lol, I got it. I owned one. I was being a smart ass.

For 13 years. I was being my usual smart ass self.

Technically most engines do bolt on.

But I don’t fit in a Miata...

These are Bolt- ons

Haha - you liked it, I presume? Or was it more of a Stockholm Syndrome situation?

No, I definitely loved my car. And I defended it as a daily driver, even though I eventually gave it up because of loss of compression.
My dad still has his ‘04. He paid to replace the engine a couple of years ago.

That took a dark turn...

The one above (FD RX-7) is the one that I’ve always lusted after. I’ve never driven a rotary Wankel , and need to do that one of these days.
And I still think that Mazda makes the perfect car for a Wankel engine - it’s always the answer.

I went and tried that one at the dealer when they came out. I had a bulkier chair at the time and couldn’t figure out how to use it with no real space to put it in. They also jacked the price up. My mom had an FC that I loved driving, and the RX-8 was a peach. I’m sure someone at Mazda put a rotary in a Miata. I wonder how it drove.

That sucks about the FD, but it was a pretty small car.
